![]() It's a drier consistency, and manages to make texture appear where there is not even any natural texture. Even using light layers, and was just cakey no matter what. The goal is for people to look at me and think 'wow her skin is so pretty' not 'wow look at all that foundation.' But the texture of this concealer was SO CAKEY. And believe me, I don't naturally have great skin I'm just not into the mask-like foundation/concealer look. I'm not one of those people who piles on concealer and foundation.I personally feel that it's more modern and pretty and chic to blend concealer strategically so that you appear to just naturally have great skin.and with practice that is possible. Then there was the issue with the texture. So, beware of that if you're light and golden like myself. So that part was disappointing.and I run into this same issue in all of NARS concealers. In between those shades, there are other peachy tones like canelle, but if you're truly golden/yellow like me.peachy tones just look like you've rubbed pink eyeshadow all over your face. Custard was way too light, ginger was way too dark. Custard is their light/medium with a yellow undertone.then comes ginger. The golden tones in this concealer are either too light or too dark. I'm light-medium with a golden/yellow undertone. I own several NARS foundations, and can easily find my shade in those (alaska in velvet matte skin tint, for example). Nars was the winner for me and was WAY better at lasting coverage compared to my old Covergirl concealer. I think the thicker formula is why it sticks to blemishes better too. Nars is thicker than Urban Decay but spreads with no drag and doesn't look cakey. Eye wise, they were both pretty close but I felt that Nars made my skin look more flawless than Urban Decay. It didn't last as long with spot treatments though. Urban Decay is much creamer than Nars so it blended with ease, like a lotion. I learned to use a moisturizer/oil first, blot/blend the concealer with my finger and set with powder immediately. I've never had that problem before so I had to research a solution. ![]() The first thing I noticed with these higher end, longer lasting concealers was creasing. I even wore Urban Decay on one eye and Nars on the other for several days, just so I could monitor the coverage throughout the day. I tested both the Urban Decay Naked concealer and the Nars concealer. I picked 2 popular brands to try out because both were so highly rated on Ulta and other websites. I've wore Covergirl concealer for ages and wanted to try something different. LIGHT-DIFFUSING MINERAL POWDER: Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and helps even out skin tone.Nars vs Urban DecayI mainly wear my concealer under my eyes and as a spot treatment for blemishes. Unique powders even skin tone and provide invisible skin correction so skin looks radiant, fresh and natural. MINERAL TONE BALANCING POWDER: Works to optically correct, not mask imperfections.
